CONNECTED PERFORMANCE

Group project

The project consisted in creating a collaborative piece of work as a way to connect to each other in a time where we are all so distant and isolated.
The principal aim was to bring artists with different practices together in cooperation, collaboration and debate.

After discussing which format to use and in which way to create a sort of corporeal performance, a gesture, a shared moment, we decided to focus on routine and to compare the quotidianity of our days. We each filmed the first 8 min of our mornings and then compared them, finding out that there were certain things, actions, behaviours that unite us, even if we come from different countries and backgrounds.

This exercise served as a reminder that we are humans, we are not perfect, we have flaws and bad moments too, and to acknowledge that we are not always strong and as a community of artists sometimes we can take risks and laugh about our mistakes together.
