After the outbreak of Covid-19 , I have been undertaking several travels between England and Italy, and because of the different safety measurements in each country, I have been spending a lot of time in quarantine. This time has given me the opportunity to reflect on what I have and be grateful for the little things, like the presence of the sun in the morning.
“Quarantine diary” is a short film, composed of one minute for each day of quarantine, a selected moment of the day to be grateful for.
The short doesn’t just document the passing of time in self-isolation, but it witnesses the growth of a unique friendship between a human and a plant. The connection between animal and vegetal beings is possible, and it is something that humanity needs to embrace now more than ever. The reciprocal sharing of time and space with a little plant can feed a soul with peace and serenity.
